Starbucks arrives in Liphook

Starbucks, the global coffee chain has opened its latest outlet at Old Thorns Manor Hotel in Liphook.


Pete Denton, Kestrel Radio’s new breakfast presenter opens Starbucks at Old Thorns

Pete Denton, the new breakfast presenter at Kestrel Radio, rushed from his show in Basingstoke this morning to officially open Starbucks Coffee House at The Old Thorns Manor Hotel, Liphook. 

Customers arrived early and the queue continued throughout the day, with some of them braving the rain to cheer on Pete as he cut the ribbon, announcing the official opening.

The new Frappucino samples were a complete success and we were also treated to lessons in coffee tasting with the Starbucks Coffee Ambassador. 

Liphook’s much anticipated Starbucks coffee outlet did not disappoint on its opening day (Monday 18th July), with a friendly team of staff serving up delicious coffee, pastries and snacks.

Starbucks-Liphook-002Business on the opening day was brisk for this latest addition to the Old Thorns Manor Hotel. A steady flow of golfers, hotel guests and local visitors kept the staff busy throughout the day.

A team from Starbucks head office were also on hand demonstrating and explaining the different coffee flavours from around the world.

Next to the main hotel drop off point, with the popular Sports Bar behind and the newly opened conference facilities above, Starbucks Liphook is well placed to be a popular bustling local venue.

Starbucks at Old Thorns will be open from:

 7:00am until 7.00pm Monday – Saturday

9:30am until 4:30pm Sundays
